BEx Drives USB

External Portable CD-ROM drives that connect to a USB port

Prime uses of external cdrom drives:

• If your desktop or laptop does not have a CD-ROM Drive, you can use the USB based BEx Drive for loading software or for reading data off cd-roms.
• If you don't want to have CD-ROM Drives on all your systems but you need a cd-rom drive for installing software etc. In such cases, just connect the BEx Drive to your system, load your cd and off you go.
• If you are a travelling support person and are not sure if the destination will have a cd-rom drive use a USB based Bex Drive.

USB port transfers at 12 to 14Mbits per second versus parallel ports 115Kbytes. That's almost 10 to 12 times faster!

The BEx Drive is very handy in all of the above situations. It comes with a driver and a USB cable. Load the driver through the floppy drive, connect the drive to a power outlet and then connect the drive to the system through the USB cable and you are in business.

The BEx external portable cd-rom drives are available in 2, 4, 8, 16, 24, 32 and 36 speeds.

Auto sensing power supply works with both 110 and 220 volts.

If your system has no operating system and you want to use this drive to load the operating system on your system, you must have the boot disk for your operating system.

If you dont' have a USB port, you can always add a USB port to your system. Various options are listed in our accessories page.
