Overview

These speakers can output to most devices with a standard 3.5mm audio jack, such as MP3 or CD players, laptops or notebooks, and a PC or Mac Mini. There are a couple of different options to power these streamlined speakers: a computer's USB port, or 4 AAA batteries. The power/battery case is also handy for simple docking of an iPod Nano -- there's a cut-out that will hold a Nano erect.

How do the wafer-thin speakers stand on their own? The 3.5mm speaker jack plugs into the rear of each speaker and doubles as a stand/base against which the speaker can rest. The IR-2011 also encompasses a 360 ° listening degree in that audio will emit from both the front and rear of each speaker panel--a characteristic that isn't seen in many portable speakers on the market.
