• The Powerflex FW-114 graphite shaft is a filament wound shaft aimed squarely at the value market. The FW-114 is designed for mid to higher handicappers looking for a graphite shaft performance at a great price.
• In order to achieve its price, the Powerflex FW-114 implemented an innovative mixture of graphite and fiberglass using the filament winding technique. While fiberglass is less expensive than graphite, it is heavier and not as strong in the tensile direction. Thus the shaft specs. out heavier in weight and higher in torque than standard 100% graphite. The Powerflex FW-114 is excellent for golfers switching from steel in their irons as it is closer in weight to steel and the softer composite material provides the vibration dampening needed for those off-center hits.
