Review of Titleist AP2 Irons
I purchased my AP2 irons in October
2008 and have been more than pleased with their performance.
The Titleist AP2 have been designed for the skilled golfer(this does
not mean that golfers of all levels will not benefit from their
advanced construction)
I was extremely impressed with the advanced technology of the irons,
they gave a Solid feel of a Blade with the playability of a Cavity
Back.
Titleist have achieved this with the use of advanced techology &
materials,Titleist's advanced technology uses a multi-material
constuction consisting of Steel Body,a Tungsten Nickel
Sole,Elastomer Bar & Aluminiun Cavity Plate
As with all Cavity designs weight is pushed to the outside(hence the
name Perimiter Weighting) Titleist's use of a lower Cavity cover of
Tungsten Nickel (a high density material) keeps weight low and also
aids structual rigidity,A GREAT Benefit of this is a reduction of
Low Frequency Vibration. The Elastomer Bar is used also to aid
Structual Rigidity & as a cushion for the club face to reduce
Vibration for a solid feel.
When grounded the Titleist AP2 irons have the appearance of a
Traditional Blade & Hosel Junction (which will suit players looking
for a Blade Profile Iron)
Titleist AP2 irons come fitted with Precision Project X Rifle Shafts
(other shafts may be available) and can be Tailored to suit.I would
always recommend to have your new Clubs custom fitted to you
regarding lie angle, length, weight as this will allow you to
correctly align the club for better shots.
I have no Hesitation in Recommending TITLEIST AP2 Irons as your next
set
